It’s always good to love yourself and to accept the love that others give, but most importantly, it’s good to know who you are. Not everyone is meant to fall in love. I know it’s not easy to hear these words because everyone wants to experience these feelings. It’s important to understand that no one is denied or cheated out of love. Everyone loves differently. At times, love doesn’t come the way we expect it. We don’t realize that love comes in many different forms. People think they know what true love is about. Sadly, these people get married multiple times because they are still searching. The reality is some people will experience the depth of true love while others will only experience the surface.

Love can also be negative because there are people who are insecure and lack confidence and self-esteem. They express their “love” through physical and mental abuse and through forms of control, selfishness, and greed. Negativity attracts negative love, and there are people who use your weaknesses to take advantage. Some people will become consumed by love or lose themselves, and they will kill all in the name of “love.” People have abused the word “love” to the point that it has lost any real meaning. Centuries ago, the definition of “love” had true value, and when you found the one, your heart and body set off a reaction. Only a few know that feeling.

Everyone is worthy of love, but it also depends on what kind of love comes your way. Could it be a friendly love? Motherly love? Fatherly love? Sibling love? The point is there are many types of love. It may not be the love you want to have, but in the end, you do receive love. For that reason, it is good to know who and what you are so you have a better understanding of love.

For some people, there is love that lasts for a few weeks, a few moments, a few years, or for an eternity. In every lifetime, there are people who won’t find love, but that is ok. Some people may not find it in this lifetime, but it is not the end of their life. It is just the beginning. We all came here to grow and learn lessons. Our lessons might not be about love, but they could be about the things we are missing within ourselves.

The love you carry within you defines who you are. Always remember that when someone loves you, it is a GIFT! Unfortunately, people don’t see the truth about love and how precious it truly is. We have forgotten to appreciate and treasure love. Don’t ever settle for someone because you’re afraid of being alone. Remember that you are unique and wonderful, and you matter. And always remember, love starts with you first! Hopefully, you’ll find true love in your next lifetime.
